Samsung UN65D8000 65-Inch 1080p 240Hz 3D Passed HDTV
I purchased this tv most 2 weeks ago to interchange a 42 in Panasonic plasma. There are a lot of peachy things about this tv, but the one thing that matters most – the flick – was a large disappointment. The intent and features of this tv are great. Internet worked really well, menus are nicely positioned away and I loved the large screen. If you view the tv direct on, the movie is excellent, but if you sit the slightest turn away inwardness it washes away quickly. Negro stratums gone terrible, screen uniformity issues become glaring (flashlighting and upright banding) UN65D8000 and colors (particularly flesh tones) are poor. Watching an episode of American Horror Level was a nightmare. I exchanged this tv for the PN64D8000 plasma and am much happier. The plasma flick is not quite as bright, simply the pass center regarding and colors are far superior. For me, meliorate negro layers and colour are more important than spectacularly bright whites. The plasma has a far superior picture.
